AsiaLawNetwork partnered with ZHIANT and General Assembly to organize a Meetup group discussion on the impact of legal technology at General Assembly on 11 July 2017. Lawyers, law students, developers and individuals from various professions gathered to discuss disruptive legal technologies, a survey of new jobs for lawyers and who will be employing them.
We have a really terrific turnout and really great discussions!
Each group of lawyers, developers and businesspeople deep-dived into questions such as:
- Whether you’re an established lawyer, a junior lawyer, a law student or a legal technologist, is the path you’re on right now setting you up to compete with the machines of the future or build the machines of the future?
- Is Singapore a good environment for legal start-ups? Why and what would make it more competitive?
- Should new legal graduates be worried about automation in the legal workplace?
Thank you to our moderators and partners
We had a wonderful event thanks to awesome moderators Deepak Khemchandani (Founder of ZHIANT) and Rahul Daswani (Ministry of Home Affairs). Many thanks to General Assembly for hosting the event and the General Assembly team for helping it all go so smoothly!
