When raising disagreements over your lawyer’s bill, you can approach the Court to tax the bill. Taxation refers to a formal review of legal fees to assess if the amount charged is appropriate. Your lawyer can also choose to tax the bill in lieu of any disagreements. Do note that your lawyer may present a larger bill post-taxation due to the incurred time to settle this dispute.
