Reading Time: 2 minutes

Areas that you specialise in and why you choose this practice area

My focus is on litigation both civil and criminal. There is no excitement that can match the thrills and frills of a trial which keeps you at a high level of alertness with equal amount of stress.

What made you want to be a lawyer, and what drives you today

A sense of fair play and justice regardless of affiliation has been part of my DNA. Not surprising I became a lawyer. Law impacts all aspects of life greatly and my interest in fair play keeps me going as lawyer.

Common misconceptions about your practice area

Some people think a litigation lawyer can do miracles and circumvent the law, and that court appearances are dramatic as in movies. In reality, it is sheer hard work poring through case law and evidence to prove your clients case or raise doubts in prosecution’s case.

If you were to start a business someday, what would it be and why?

Never considered myself as a businessman, but if I were to then I would start a business giving cheap and good remedy to diseases because health costs is high and there are many people who need help.

Your most prized possession

I do not value material possessions. There is nothing material or tangible that I treasure. However I treasure love, loyalty and friendship from my children, wife and friends. Notes, letters and cards from my children, wife and friends are very valuable to me.

3 fun facts about you

#1. I like to see and experience different cultures and enjoy watching how people live their lives in different part of the world.
#2. I enjoy the serenity of our nature reserves and take pleasure in watching birds, monkeys and Iguana in their natural environment.
#3. If I were to give up lawyering, I will devote my life working in an orphanage looking after the abandoned and under privileged children.
