Patrick has more than 20 years of experience in litigation, with his main area of focus being litigation and advisory work relating to insurance matters and claims, general negligence claims, industrial accident claims, road traffic accidents and personal injury claims, occupier’s liability claims, fire and water damage claims, professional negligence and indemnity claims, insurance fraud and restitution claims. His practice also covers litigation and advisory work relating to the motor industry trade including drafting and advising on vehicle warranties, sales and purchase agreements, bidding agreements, sales of goods advisory and litigation work, consumer rights in relation to sales of goods, contractual disputes, employment disputes, claims for commissions disputes, claims for defective goods disputes, claims for defective workmanship disputes, motorcar warranty claims and disputes. Patrick acts regularly for the biggest Singapore insurance companies and has also represented both manufacturers and Singapore distributors of some of the top brands of motorcars from Japan and Germany. He has also acted successfully for clients in disputes with their motor dealers over defective product or workmanship disputes. Patrick delivers regular lectures for insurance companies on management of negligence claims, insurance and contract law issues, litigation strategies for negligence claims, updates and developments in insurance and negligence law and all matters of general insurance law. He has also delivered lectures on sales of goods, consumers’ rights, legal system in Singapore. He has spoken on the issue of civil procedure in the Singapore Courts, Patrick was a speaker for general and life insurance agents for one of the largest insurance companies in Singapore, on the Legal System in Singapore as part of their continuing education scheme.
