Malaysia, 2 October 2017- Asia Law Network is happy to be a participant at the 6th Asia Pro Bono Conference, held in Kuala Lumpur. The Asia Pro Bono Conference celebrates and emphasizes pro bono legal work and legal ethics, discussing ways to further the outreach of the pro bono ethos in Asia and around the globe. The 6th edition was the largest convening with over 500 people from 30+ countries coming together over the 3 days.
CEO and co-founder Cherilyn Tan spoke at the panel on how technology can serve the pro bono and legal aid community. Commenting on the event, she said “It’s been a great experience being surrounded by people who believe in the same cause and in various aspects of work on Access to Justice. I have happy to represent the legal technology community at this conference”
